Ineke has been invited to speak on the topic of Family Business and Philanthropy at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford on 22 October 2015.
The recording of the lecture is live on the website of the University of Oxford: http://podcasts.ox.ac.uk/series/philanthropy
Synopsis
Whereas family businesses increasingly adopt Family Constitutions and Family Charters to maintain their distinct identity, philanthropy is increasingly recognised as the place in which families transfer not just wealth but also values. How do families handle this process and what strategies and structures do they adopt? Dutch scholar, lawyer and tax attorney, Dr Ineke Koele will lead a discussion based on her studies of the topic from different sources around the world and extensive experiences in the field. We will also hear perspectives from family philanthropists who have tried to successfully navigate these challenges.
